
Dr Bernard Lee, a trained anaesthesiologist from Singapore is a certified Pain specialist with more than 15 years of clinical experience He was trained and awarded a Fellow of Faculty of Pain Medicine (Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetist, Australia).
As one of the pioneer interventional pain specialists in Singapore, Dr Bernard Lee started the Chronic and Interventional Pain Management Services in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. As its clinical director of the Chronic Pain unit, he established the various clinical programs such as back pain, cancer pain and Cognitive Behavioral Pain Management program (ACTIVATE).
Currently, Dr Bernard Lee is the founder of Singapore Paincare Center. He has established knifeless surgery via "state of the art" - specialised laser/balloon injections to treat various pain conditions (slipped disc, nerve compression, arthritis, frozen shoulder), bringing relief to these patients.
Professionally, Dr Bernard Lee is an article reviewer with the ASEAN Journal of Anaesthesiology and Singapore Medical Journal on research pertaining to pain advances. He also holds appointments as an executive member in the Training and Education Committee in "The Cancer Institute", NHG, as well as a clinical lecturer with the National University of Singapore. He sits on the advisory committee on various health publications (Live Well, Spring and Prime).
Dr Lee has been a frequent speaker at conferences, international as well as local meetings, counting many lectures in various aspects of pain treatment in orthopaedic, neuropathic and oncological conditions. |
